Sostalgia Pangolin

2e0a9968

The Centre for Art and the Political Imaginary (CAPIm), in collaboration with artists Signe Johannessen and Erik Rören, is pleased to offer residency opportunities in Solastalgia Pangolin during May 2026.

Solastalgia Pangolin is a sculpture, a cabin, and a field hospital for the mind on the front lines of climate crisis. It is conceived as a vessel for living and thinking in a changing nature: a structure intended to endure beyond the short-term project economy that so often mirrors and accelerates the very ecological conditions it seeks to address.

Built as a simple hut, Solastalgia Pangolin is made to last. With care and maintenance, it is intended to outlive us all. Designed to be transportable, it will continue its journey wherever it is invited next. Its early itinerary is already taking shape: in summer 2026 it will be presented at OpenArt in Örebro, and in 2025, as a work in progress, it was shown and activated in connection with the conference of the European Society for Environmental History in Uppsala.
